Mindful yin yoga is very relaxing and a meditative form of yoga. Mindful yin yoga has a tremendous stress reducing effect on body and mind. Poses are held for a longer period of time, ranging from one minute up to twenty minutes. People are asked to fully relax in a pose and to soften the muscles.
In this way the poses relaxes the deep connecting tissues and fascia. In every pose mindfulness is being practised as a way to get intimate with ones feelings, thoughts and experiences. It teaches you to observe them with acceptance and an open mind, whatever the experience may be.
As a result you learn to cope with anxiety, pain and stress in a more effective way.
